VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 

Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee needs volunteers to deliver hot meals to home-bound or disabled individuals throughout Manatee County.

The return of seasonal volunteers to their northern homes has left many delivery routes without drivers. This role is ideal for parents to do with children who are home during the summer, for responsible teenagers in need of community service, or for retired/semi-retired adults. Sign up with a friend or neighbor and enjoy time catching up! Businesses are also encouraged to participate in an “Adopt a Route” program offering employees the opportunity for worthwhile community engagement.

Times and Dates Needed: Monday through Friday, Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Location: Meals are prepared at the Meals on Wheels PLUS kitchen at 811 23rd Avenue East in Bradenton, and delivered by volunteer drivers.

Time requirement: 1 to 1-1/2 hours, from one day per week up to five days.
