For your Senior Wheels membership, you must first meet the following requirements:
- Age 50 or older
- Independently mobile (includes using canes or collapsible walkers and wheelchairs)
- Manatee County Resident
Sign up for Senior Wheels
Simply call Senior Wheels at 941-747-RIDE (7433) to have the complete packet mailed to you or click on one of the links below for a PDF to print out and complete. A staff member will verify your qualification and send your official welcome package.
Members can schedule transportation by calling the Senior Wheels office between
8 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday,
at least 2 business days before your appointment
(but no more than 30 days in advance). Additional charges apply for same-day calls.
Be Prepared to give the dispatcher details about your trip, including:
- Your Name
- Phone number
- Member ID
- The date you would like to schedule your trip
- Address of the pick-up and drop-off locations
- Time for pick-up and drop-off
Senior Wheels operates based on an annual membership fee for each client.
Pick up and per-mile charges are applied per trip.
