Reporting to the Board of Directors, Maribeth operates programs housed in four separate buildings in Manatee County, and oversees several funding sources, donor relations, marketing/PR, finances, annual events, volunteer engagement, and manages over 60 staff members. For every dollar donated, $0.95 goes back into the programs of Meals on Wheels Plus. Meals on Wheels Plus has maintained a 4-star rating by Charity Navigator since 2012. In 2013, Meals on Wheels Plus was named the Non-Profit of the Year by the Tamp Bay Business Journal. In 2014, Maribeth served the 10 millionth home delivered meal and in 2015, we opened up our new Daybreak Adult Day Center in Lakewood Ranch. Under Maribeth’s leadership, Meals on Wheels Plus has reorganized and continues to evolve in order to fulfill its core mission to feed Manatee County.

After starting a small fundraising event in her home back in 2006 to give gifts to homebound seniors, Maribeth secured restaurants to host the subsequent annual, community-wide “shoe box receptions.” In 2009, Maribeth was invited to join the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels Plus, where she served as the Human Resources Chair, and briefly on the Executive Board as Secretary. She resigned from the Board in 2012 to apply for the CEO position.

Prior to joining Meals on Wheels Plus, Maribeth’s career was centered on human resources leadership. She was the Vice President of Human Resources for a number of large companies both up North and here in Florida, including: Philips Medical Systems, Diageo North America, Gevity (now Trinet), and Phoenix Ink. Maribeth also secured a real estate license, and worked as a Sales Associate for Neal Communities after moving to Florida.

Maribeth serves on the Board of Directors for the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance as Chair of the Communications & Technology Committee, and as Governance Chair and Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Gulfcoast CEO Forum. Maribeth is also a member of the Business Women’s Advisory Group. And Maribeth is and has been a Goodwill Ambassador for many years!
