DESCRIPTION:Inflation and higher costs of living has caused food-insecurity in our community to skyrocket. The Food Bank of Manatee, a PLUS program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, has been the leading, local source of nutrition in Manatee County since 1985. As the only food bank based in Manatee County, we need your help to Stuff the Bus this year! 100% of the proceeds and food collected will stay in Manatee County.\nVolunteer! Volunteers are also needed for this one-day event taking place at ALL Manatee County Publix locations on Sunday, October 6th from 9am-3pm.  More details on volunteering to come.\n \nStuff the Bus 2024\nSunday, October 6\n9:00am-3:00pm\nAll Manatee County Publix Locations\nGoal: Raise 150,000 pounds of food to feed Manatee County residents!\n\nIT’S AS EASY AS 1-2-3\n1.) Shop any of the Manatee County Publix\n2.) Pick up BOGOs for The Food Bank of Manatee\n3.) Donate non-perishable food items in front of Publix and help STUFF THE BUS\n\nCRITICALLY NEEDED ITEMS\n\nCANNED VEGETABLES\nCANNED FRUITS\nMAC ‘N’ CHEESE\nPEANUT BUTTER\nJELLY\nBOXED RICE\nBOXED PASTA\nCANNED SOUPS\nCANNED MEAT\n100% FRUIT JUICES\nBREAKFAST BARS\nOATMEAL\nPOWDERED MILK\nAPPLE SAUCE\nDRIED BEANS\nTRAIL MIX\n\n\nFunds donated in excess of need will be used to provide nutrition and caring, supportive services throughout the year.
