Donor Relations & Database Administrator

The Donor Relations & Database Administrator is responsible for assisting the VP of Development in stewarding donors, achieving fundraising goals, and implementing strategic initiatives while also managing the accuracy of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee’s (MOWP) internal development databases of donors and prospects, planning, and managing fundraising activities including mailings, online solicitations, and special events, gift processing, information retrieval and analysis, and database maintenance.

Major Responsibilities: 

  1. Utilize Raiser’s Edge NXT and other resources to successfully identify, cultivate, and steward donors, strengthening a pipeline of current and prospective support, while securing donations to achieve financial goals and in-kind needs.
  2. Steward prospects and donors in meaningful ways while moving constituents from all sectors continuously through the 14 steps of the fundraising cycle, tracking progression through Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  3. Assist with research related to grant applications for targeted needs of the organization.
  4. Assist with the coordination of grant reports to foundations and organizations. Maintain a schedule of grant applications, responses, and reports to ensure renewal.
  5. Work with the VP of Development to assist in planning for annual fund, major gift, and other campaigns.
  6. Responsible for implementing engaging donor stewardship events.
    Assist with the successful execution of fundraising events.
  7. Maintain all donor and prospective donor information in Raiser’s Edge NXT, processing all gifts, creating timely gift acknowledgments, and maintaining donor records related to giving, communication preferences, contact information, etc.
  8. Provide organizational leadership with fundraising reports and analysis to inform decision making and moves management.
  9. Reconcile monthly fundraising totals with the Finance Department.
    Provide operational support for donor communications, contact, and scheduling.
  10. Provide research about current and prospective donors.
    Act as the liaison between Blackbaud and MOWP for all matters related to database.
  11. Create usable and accurate queries and reports.
  12. Provide analysis of data entry, data extracts, and the clean-up of data sources.
  13. May be asked to perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements … education, years of experience, and licenses and/or certifications

  1. B.S./B.A. degree.
  2. 4 years of experience in donor relations and using donor management software, required; Experience using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT platform, preferred.
  3. Non-profit experience, required.
  4. An understanding of social services and older adults needs, and enrichment, preferred.

  6. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or other similar donor management software, required.
  7. Must be able to bend, lift, carry, push/pull 25 pounds by oneself or 50 pounds with assistance.

Job Type:  Full Time / Non-exempt (40 hours/week) / 8:30 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $52,500

Benefits include 12 paid holidays, 3 weeks paid vacation and medical benefits.
