Chef Joe has a range of culinary experience spanning the past thirty years. He got his start as a cook in one of only two 5-star restaurants in San Francisco. Since then, he has perfected his craft going from Sous Chef to Head Chef, and working in a variety of locations, including country clubs, banquet facilities, and his own restaurant. “School taught me technique, but life has taught me to be the Chef I am today,” Joe states.
In his role of Vice President of Operations at Meals on Wheels PLUS, Chef Joe oversees the daily meal operations to home-bound clients in partnership with a registered dietitian, he develops crowd-pleasing menus each month that meet nutritional needs and taste great. Also he oversees the Volunteer Service Department managing over 450 volunteer throughout the organization and the Transportation Department that transports over 800 clients a day.
