Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Staten Island, in New York, her hometown, before relocating to Tampa in 2005 to teach elementary school. After having her own children, she transitioned to the nonprofit sector where she has accumulated 8 years of experience, consistently seeking ways to address community needs and make a positive impact.
