Aging Gracefully – A free speaker series for aging adults, seniors, and caregivers
October 17, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pmFree
LEGAL ISSUES IMPACTING FLORIDA SENIORS
Liz Moneymaker received both of her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kansas. After she graduated from law school, she served on active duty with the Army as a JAG for more than four years. After leaving active duty, she continued to serve the JAG Corps as a reserve officer, where she was mobilized and deployed to Iraq in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and ultimately retired after 23 years of active and reserve service as a Major. She was awarded the Bronze Star for her wartime service.
Liz was a civilian litigator for many years, defending individuals and businesses who were sued. While she enjoyed trial work, she realized that her passion was elsewhere, so she transitioned her practice to focus on seniors, veterans, and those with disabilities, including their families and caregivers. This includes Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Administration, Guardianship, Medicaid Planning and Asset Protection, Special Needs Planning, and Veterans’ Benefits. Having gone through the process of helping her own aging parents, she understands and is passionate about the issues facing our elderly and special needs population and their families.
Aging Gracefully is a distinguished speaker series for aging adults, seniors, and caregivers presented by Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee and Help at Home Homecare.
Open to the public. No admission fee. Light refreshments will be provided.
