Meals on Wheels PLUS
Now Delivering Dinner

Starting in September, volunteers will be delivering dinners to qualifying clients of the home-delivered meal program. Qualifying clients will receive their hot lunch AND an extra cold-meal for dinnertime, both delivered daily. These meals provide healthy nutrition to seniors who are vulnerable to food insecurity. A registered dietician approves each meal, which provides 1/3 of the daily requirements for a 72-year-old female.

21st Annual Columbia Restaurant Community Harvest

Sack Summer Hunger in Manatee:
Your Impact

Over the summer of 2018, The Food Bank of Manatee distributed weekend food sacks to 47 community partner sites throughout Manatee County, providing nutritious meals and snacks to students. In total, The Food Bank of Manatee distributed more than 110,000 meals to more than 18,000 students this summer.Even the heat and the rain could not keep food bank volunteers from handing out weekend food sacks to school-aged kids this summer.

Without proper nutrition, children will not reach their full potential or focus. It is critical to our community that we ensure our children have the essential food they need during the summer break.Maribeth Phillips, President & CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS and The Food Bank of Manatee
