Meal Sponsorship for Home-Delivered Meals

Nothing says caring like food, especially to a homebound senior.  Our dedicated volunteers deliver a hot, nutritious meals to over 1,400 seniors in Manatee County every day.  Unfortunately, many seniors need additional resources to fund meals for the entire week.  Please consider sponsoring meals for neighboring seniors in need of food.

  • $50 will feed a senior for an entire week
  • $200 will feed a senior for a full month
  • $1,200 will feed a senior for six months
  • $2,500 will feed a senior for one full year

Additional community programs include:

In the midst of this unprecedented circumstance, we are working to fulfill the rising needs and costs of our programs to ensure essential nutrition is available to our home-bound seniors, children, and families who do not have access to meals.

We are beyond grateful for the overwhelming response from those interested in volunteering at Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee! The numbers of those wanting to volunteer exceeds what we can currently accommodate due to the guidelines issued by the CDC. The needs in our community are great and will continue to grow. We encourage everyone interested in lending a hand to mobilize a non-perishable food collection or purchase items online to be delivered directly to us.

Specifically needed items: canned vegetables, baby cereal & formula, canned fruits, mac ‘n’ cheese, peanut butter, jelly, boxed rice, boxed pasta, canned soups, canned meat, 100% fruit juices, breakfast bars, oatmeal, powdered milk, apple sauce, dried beans, trail mix, and healthy cereals. Please avoid glass containers.
