Home-Delivered Meals

This flagship program provides hot, nutritious home-delivered meals for those in need in our community.  All home-delivered meals are approved by a registered dietitian and pureed meals are also available for individuals who have special needs.

Nutritious home-delivered meals may be available for you and/or a loved one who meet one or more of the following criteria: 

  • Live in Manatee County, Florida
  • 60+ years of age and/or disabled
  • Referred by the Department of Children and Families and between 18 and 59 years of age
  • Homebound or need help leaving your home
  • Have difficulty preparing meals or shopping for yourself
  • Have been recently discharged from the hospital or have ongoing health problems
  • Primarily living alone or with a caregiver

Meal Sponsorship for Home-Delivered Meals

Nothing says caring like food, especially to a homebound senior.  Our dedicated volunteers deliver a hot, nutritious meals to over 1,400 seniors in Manatee County every day.  Unfortunately, many seniors need additional resources to fund meals for the entire week.  Please consider sponsoring meals for neighboring seniors in need of food.

  • $50 will feed a senior for an entire week
  • $200 will feed a senior for a full month
  • $1,200 will feed a senior for six months
  • $2,500 will feed a senior for one full year

In the midst of this unprecedented circumstance, we are working to fulfill the rising needs and costs of our programs to ensure essential nutrition is available to our home-bound seniors, children, and families who do not have access to meals.

At this critical time, we need the community’s support to feed those in need. We are grateful to have received a $50,000, $1:$1 match from The Steven and Natalee Herrig Family Foundation for Emergency Relief.
