Development & Events Coordinator
Job Summary
Assist the VP of Development with development and marketing efforts that will lead to the achievement of fundraising goals and the implementation of strategic initiatives
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assist with marketing efforts that tell the story of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee including copy writing and proofreading for social media posts, website (including SEO), organizational newsletter, photography, video, etc.
2. Solicit cash and in-kind support for multiple annual fundraising events and daily operations.
3. Assist with tracking and managing deliverables for contracts with grantors, annual sponsors, and other constituency groups.
4. Works with VP of Development and team to create strategy and engaging content for social platforms as well as electronic and print communications to constituent groups for cohesive brand representation.
5. Analyze results of social media reach, clicks, likes, shares, open rates, etc. at least monthly and tweak strategy to maximize reach and impact.
6. Coordinate logistics of event ticket sales through website, online ticket platform, and physical tickets.
7. Create brand-specific videos for use on digital platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
8. Update electronic sign/billboard and lobby TVs with relevant and current messaging.
9. Work with VP of Development to create and execute successful fundraising events, including collateral materials, in support of the mission of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.
10. Assist with AV in Selby Nutrition Services Center when needed for special events, hosting, etc.
11. Assist with the coordination of vendors, sponsors, and event logistics and details.
12. Engage internal departments in fundraising event planning and coordination to ensure a seamless volunteer, donor, and guest experience both pre and post-event.
13. Assist with design, website, Google Ad grants, and Tropical Nights video.
14. May be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements (Education, years of experience, and licenses and/or certifications)
• B.S./B.A. or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 2 – 4 years graphic design experience.
• Sufficient computer and design competency; successful experience using Microsoft applications, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and video editing software.
• Successful experience copywriting and editing branded content.
• Successful experience working with WordPress website(s).
• Must be at least 23 years old and have a good driving record to meet Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee’s insurance requirements.

• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; effective time management skills necessary.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team, and utilize good judgement.
• Must maintain high standards for quality of work produced and brand representation.
• Ability to occasionally travel locally and participate in fundraising events upon request.
• Ability to sit for long periods with extended work at a video display terminal.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time for events.
• Must be able to bend, lift, carry, push/pull 25 pounds
Job Type: Full Time/Non-exempt
Hours: M-F. 8:00-4:30
Compensation: $26.50/HR
