Director – Client Programs

Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee
Bradenton, FL

Provide leadership and general oversight to the group client programs, home-delivered meal program, the Call Center Operations, and the Client Advocates (Case Managers). Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and excellent service delivery to our clients.

Major Responsibilities: 

  1. Provide direction and oversight for the daily operations and activities of the Adult Daycare Center (ADC), Daybreak, and the staff.
  2. Provide direction and oversight to the four (4) Friendship Dining Centers (FDC); strategize on participation vs. activities to provide engagement and growth.
  3. Provide direction and oversight to client services regarding any client issues regarding the clients’ home deliveries each week/month of meals, menus, nutrition addition, hurricane meals, birthday cards, and special messages.
  4. Lead, coach, and/or recruit direct reports and guide them in supervising their reports, including the Manager of Daybreak and the Manager of Client Services.
  5. Oversee the schedule of mandatory annual home-delivered meal (HDM) client reassessments and new client assessments; and health assessments post client release from a hospital stay.
  6. Ensure mandatory staff training is conducted in accordance with the requirements of federal, local, and private funders.
  7. Oversee and manage the weekly, monthly, and annual reports of activities in a timely manner, i.e., including reports for federal grants and monthly statistics, etc., including the annual service provider application (SPA) and the annual monitoring responses to requests.
  8. Oversee and coordinate the annual client surveys for and prepare summaries for submission to funders.
  9. May perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in social services or a related field
  2. Seasoned Professional with a minimum of 7+ years of management experience with supervisory responsibilities.
  3. Experience working in the aging field/senior population.
  4. Background includes reporting with an emphasis on compliance with government entities.
  5. Must have a good driving record and at least 23 years old to meet MOWP’s insurance requirements.

Special Skills, Tools, Technology Requirements:

  1. Able to develop strong relationships with clients, caretakers, and staff at all levels.
  2. Managing, coaching, and developing staff, facilitating a positive work environment.
  3. Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  4. Superior computer skills and ability to quickly become proficient in MOWP’s custom software, AIMS, as well as become proficient in Department of Elder Affair’s software, e-Cirts
  5. Exceptional skills in quality control of data submitted.
  6. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  7. Superior oral and written communication skills.
  8. Able to forecast workflow and needs (i.e. holiday schedules).
  9. Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  10. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  11. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Classification: Exempt
Hours: +40 Hours/Week FT, 8:00am-4:30
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience
